    Strategy

I became interested in Solana in early 2021 and what was initially just a small investment ended up evolving into a strong desire to understand more about the tech behind Solana and blockchains more broadly. During my journey into crypto, I became a moderator of the Solana Tech discord and Solana subreddit. Although I am currently a PhD student, I have been a very active participant in the ecosystem. Dubbelosix and I met in 2021 within the Solana ecosystem and in Spring 2022 we decided to become more deeply involved, teaming up to launch Overclock Validator. I currently represent Overclock as a Jito Foundation delegate and am involved in many different corners of the Solana ecosystem.

    Infrastructure

Hey! After getting a Master's degree in computer science at Carnegie Mellon, I started out as a software dev and over time transitioned into infrastructure engineering and devops with a focus on observability and performance. I have experience in both cloud and datacenter operations, which lends itself well to validator operation on Solana. During the past three years I started working in the blockchain space, which most recently included working at Sovereign Labs on ZK rollup technology. I have also served as a technical advisor to the Solana light client team, Tinydancer. I have a continuing interest in high performance blockchains such as Solana and love understanding blockchain protocols and their tradeoffs.

    Engineering

I have 14 years professional experience working in cyber security. During this time, the majority of my work has centered around reverse engineering and native code review of commercial software systems built by Big Tech firms and I also co-authored a mobile application security book, The Mobile Application Hacker’s Handbook. I currently co-own a cyber security firm named Dark Waves InfoSec, based in the United Kingdom, and I have been interested in blockchain technology for a number of years. In 2022 I collected a number of Solana bug bounties and in March 2024 joined Overclock to work on a new Solana full node client called "Mithril", which is supported by a Solana Foundation grant.
